Democracy Now is a daily TV/radio news program, hosted by Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez, airing on over 800 stations, pioneering the largest community media collaboration in the U.S. This show does a great job of making sure the perspectives and voices are heard that are not typically covered in mainstream media. Mike listens/watches this show almost every day.

race forward is a racial justice think tank and home for media and activism. This organization is a fabulous resource for keeping informed on current racial justice issues and actions you can take. Go to their Facing Race conference. Subscribe to their Racewire blog. Read Colorlines online!

People’s Institute Undoing Racism Workshop is a two day workshop that transformed the way that Mike approached social change work. He highly recommends this workshop for heightening your understanding of how race and racism impact your work for social change.

Cultures Connecting is a Seattle area organization that provides consulting and professional development to help organizations enter into conversations about race and culture and learn new skills they can apply in the workplace and beyond. Mike found their Train the Trainer workshop particularly helpful in improving his skills to facilitate conversations on race.
